The photo from which I painted this, was taken just the other side of Lunenburg on the coastline. I found these trees frolicking in the wind and loved the texture of the granite boulder to which the sisters curtsied. This piece can also be viewed at Lindsay's Funeral Home in Windsor, NS.

High above the Annapolis Valley in N.S., there are remains of a thriving farm from years gone by. The relic of an old truck sits forlorn along the side of an old rutted road used only these days for apple picking. Just another figment of my imagination. I think sometimes, that the books I've read in my youth such as "Wuthering Heights", for example have led me to imagining these old properties. This piece can be viewed at Lindsay's Funeral Home, Windsor, NS.

Annapolis Valley presents many old barns left derelict from many years of use and weather beaten. I no sooner had this piece finished and it was sold.

'AUTUMN PASTURE"
Autumn is one of my two favorite seasons of the year and I take many pictures while on drives with my husband. I couldn't help but try to captivate the colors against the blue of the sky. This scene is from a pasture near the Summerville, Nova Scotia area.

MEDIEVAL AUTUMN
I always found these old relics left from centuries before, to be so romantic. I wanted to paint this scene with an autumn theme; bringing out it's best color.

I saw this picture on facebook some time ago and thought it was amazing and so I tried my hand at it. I love apples and thought this spoke volumes on the hard work that goes into reaping these tasty little treats that we all enjoy so much!

A beautiful midday walk among the lupins. You have to love the month of June. Everything is new and bright! Luv this! Enjoy!

I've seen pictures like this from time to time and always liked the idea of a lone flower standing on it's own. Makes one think they could survive against all odds. Well, it's certainly sounds good in theory!

This year (2016) I taught a painting class at the Avon River Historical Museum in Avondale, NS and had students create their rendition of this piece. I usually paint a little more tightly than this piece but we had only a few hours to complete the course and their pieces were amazing and very diverse in techniques. A most enjoyable afternoon for me. This scene is not anywhere in particular. Again, a figment of my imagination.

this is between the Mounce mansions looking toward the Avon River and across to Mt. Denson, N.S. I've wanted to paint this scene due to the old cement banisters of the Mounce doorstep leading to the back entrance of the house. I put in rose bushes to dress it up a bit. I also found the roof on the old garage to be unique but I suppose it was standard for the day.

This piece was painted as a personal project for my home. I love the idea of it. Sometimes progress isn't always the best thing. There is still something very special in getting those clothes out on the line so they smell so fresh when you bring them in.

A Sunday afternoon drive with someone special and I saw this huge barn but what drew my attention was the old relic of a rusting truck without tires just sitting among trees that were rotting not to mention the barn itself which had definitely seen better days but was still in use.

This is a piece created from the many drives through Annapolis Valley in the winter. Love the valley and all it's little jewels that jump at you when you least expect it. This is created as well for my husband in remembrance of a beautiful afternoon together.

During a trip for our 30th Anniversary in 2017, we drove the wonderful back roads of New Hampshire, and during one of our outings we landed upon this beautiful woodland. Quite creepy but oh so beautiful in its aura.
